Role: Joiner £20,475 - £24,375 dependant on experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Crafty Couple for an experienced Joiner to become part of our small, hardworking team.

At The Crafty Couple, we specialise in creating high-quality and bespoke furniture pieces ranging from shelves and console tables to dining tables and TV units plus many other solid wood items. We work hard to put our passion into every piece that we make, and you would play a crucial role in this.

The role will require you to use industrial machinery to manufacture products to a very high standard and work to strict deadlines. The ideal candidate is someone confident in completing a variety of tasks with experience in all areas of the workshop. The role will entail machinery usage, elements of sanding & assembly of the final product, as well as confidently working from drawings and measurements. Although not required, a carpentry-based qualification would be beneficial. A minimum of 5 years’ experience however, is essential for this role.

Training will be provided for the use of machinery and for the manufacture of all our products.

Within the role, you will be working with a variety of woods, therefore we are looking for candidates to show a knowledge and/or experience in working with a variety of hardwoods.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in Joinery

· Excellent organisation skills and show pride in your work

· Demonstrate a hardworking and reliable attitude

· Ability to confidently work from drawings

· Great attention to detail and good communication skills

· A knowledge of different hardwoods

· Excellent time management with the ability to work to deadlines and schedules

· The ability to work well within a team

· Flexibility to commit to overtime in busy periods

This position is full time (37.5 hours per week working 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday) and permanent subject to successfully completing a three month probationary period. This position will require overtime during busy periods.
